Clima en Yucatán: con tormentas, calor y “Maanja Ché” cerraría la semana
El clima en la Península de Yucatán se torna inestable hacia el cierre de la semana debido a una combinación de sistemas meteorológicos como vaguadas, una nueva onda tropical y un frente frío en el Golfo de México. Se esperan tormentas dispersas, turbonadas y descargas eléctricas, mientras persisten temperaturas elevadas. Especialistas recomiendan precauciones, sobre todo en altamar ante el riesgo de “Maanja Ché”.
Mérida, Yucatán – El clima en la Península de Yucatán se mantendrá inestable durante los próximos días debido a la interacción de varios sistemas meteorológicos que afectan a la región. Según el meteorólogo Juan Antonio Palma Solís, coordinador de Meteored México, se espera un cierre de semana con lluvias dispersas, actividad eléctrica significativa y posible presencia de turbonadas.
Para este jueves 25 de septiembre, se prevé la formación de la llamada “vaguada maya”, la cual, en combinación con una vaguada en altura sobre el Golfo de México, generará condiciones propicias para tormentas. Además, un nuevo frente frío, que emergerá desde la costa de Texas, avanzará hacia el centro del Golfo de México, sin alcanzar directamente a Yucatán, pero contribuyendo a la inestabilidad atmosférica.
Fin de semana: llega una nueva onda tropical
El meteorólogo también señala que una onda tropical se aproximará durante el fin de semana, intensificando el potencial de lluvias en la región. Se pronostican tormentas fuertes dispersas (25 a 50 mm) en al menos el 60% de Yucatán y Campeche, así como tormentas aisladas en un 20% a 30% de Quintana Roo, especialmente en la zona occidental.
Este fenómeno climático vendrá acompañado de descargas eléctricas, vientos cambiantes (de 10 a 40 km/h) y posibles rachas fuertes en zonas costeras y donde se presenten precipitaciones.
Calor persistente, pese a los sistemas atmosféricos
Aunque el frente frío no llegará a la Península, el calor no cederá. Se anticipan temperaturas máximas entre 32 y 38°C en Yucatán y Campeche, y de 30 a 37°C en Quintana Roo, manteniéndose el calor característico de la región.
Precauciones por el “Maanja Ché”
En altamar, el especialista advierte sobre el riesgo de “Maanja Ché”, una tormenta marina tradicionalmente temida por los navegantes. Esta amenaza se intensifica ante la inestabilidad atmosférica presente, por lo que se recomienda seguir de cerca los reportes oficiales y evitar riesgos innecesarios.
“Ya estamos en la época donde es más común observar estas combinaciones entre sistemas tropicales e hidrometeoros más propios de latitudes medias. Estas interacciones hacen muy interesantes —y también más complejas— las predicciones del clima”, concluye Palma Solís.
