Wetterumschwung in der Schweiz: Sturm Amy bringt Windspitzen und Temperatursturz
Nach ruhigem Herbstwetter kündigt sich in der Schweiz ein markanter Wetterwechsel an. Verantwortlich ist das Orkantief Amy, das über den Atlantik zieht und am Samstag auch das Schweizer Wettergeschehen bestimmt. Mit Windspitzen, einem drastischen Temperatursturz und sinkender Schneefallgrenze steht ein turbulentes Wochenende bevor. Was Sie jetzt wissen und beachten müssen.
Wetterlage: Von ruhigem Herbsthoch zur Sturmfront
In den letzten Tagen dominierte ein Hochdruckgebiet das Wettergeschehen in der Schweiz. Die Bise brachte trockene und kühle Luft, Hochnebel überzog das Mittelland. Doch mit dem Herannahen des Orkantiefs Amy ändert sich die Wetterlage grundlegend. Amy trifft am Freitag zunächst auf die Britischen Inseln – mit Windböen bis zu 160 km/h in Irland und Schottland.
Sturmfeld erreicht die Schweiz
Laut MeteoSchweiz-Meteorologe Thomas Kleiber breitet sich das Sturmfeld von Amy weit nach Süden aus – auch in Richtung Schweiz. Bereits am Samstagvormittag sind auf den Jurahöhen Böen bis zu 100 km/h möglich. Zunächst bleibt das Flachland verschont – es liegt im sogenannten Warmsektor, der eine stabile Atmosphäre bewirkt.
Kaltfront bringt Sturm und Gefahr im Flachland
Am Samstagnachmittag überquert die Kaltfront rasch das Land. Mit ihr verändert sich die Schichtung der Atmosphäre: Jetzt können starke Höhenwinde bis ins Flachland durchgreifen. In den späten Nachmittags- und Abendstunden sind im Mittelland Windspitzen zwischen 70 und 90 km/h zu erwarten – besonders in der Zentral- und Ostschweiz.
🧠 Tipp: Spaziergänge im Wald sollten am Samstagnachmittag unbedingt vermieden werden – umstürzende Bäume und herabfallende Äste sind möglich.
Temperatursturz und Schneefallgrenze sinkt
Hinter der Kaltfront kommt es zu einem markanten Temperatursturz:
